  • Here's an essential nugget in Jorge Ben's expansive discography. Fôrça Bruta is an obvious misnomer, as the album - recorded in 1970 with Trio Mocoto once again backing Ben - is loaded with lush, mellow samba. The sunny title track and "Pulo, Pulo" are two standouts, with many of the other tracks sounding similar, but don't worry - with Mocoto backing and Jorge on vocals, you'll want more of the same, over and over and over... also check out "Oba, La Vem Ela," "Domenica Domingava Num Domingo Linda Toda De Branco" and "O Telefone Tocou Novamente". Essential summer listening. Recommended.

    • 180g 'Halloween orange' colored vinyl
