ADVENTUROUS FUNK-INSPIRED THIRD LP FROM CRUNCHY FRENCH ELECTRO CREW. Taking yet another cue from Daft Punk, Justice trade in their sidechain compression and crunchy overdrive pedals for slick funk basslines and analog sheen on Woman. Gone are the cut-up stab samples that populated Cross as well as the prog noodling of Audio, Video, Disco.; here the duo find themselves returning to something more groove-based, filling out the record with pillowy disco drums, soft strings, wurlitzer licks and plenty of falsetto vocals. That's not to say that Woman is entirely devoid of Robot Rock, those stuck in 2006 should check out album closer "Heavy Metal".
