Single-sided 10" from Toronto-based producer on the rise Kevin Mcphee. It seems that often tracks getting a single-sided pressing seldom deserve the luxury, but that is not the case here. "Who Loves You" is just bubbling with atmosphere and depth. Obvious comparisons to Burial, James Blake and Andy Stott come to mind (slowed r&b vox, loose programming), but the heavy mood and dense textures grow into a sound of its own. Anyone with a love for the deep and introspective side of dance music would do well to check this out! Recommended.
