  • 2015 repress version. Classic soundtrack from the first Kill Bill flick back on wax. This is exactly what you've come to expect- Quentin Tarantino flossing obscurities from his record collection, peppered with soundbites from the film. This first installment of Kill Bill tunes is a stylistically mixed bag that has plenty of charm in it's variety. The album kicks off with the iconic Nancy Sinatra tune "Bang Bang" that's probably now forever linked to this film, then moves into some rockabilly territory with Charlie Feathers and some "epic western" stuff with Luis Bacalov and the earworm of all earworms - Bernard Hermann's "Twisted Nerve." Of course we got RZA showing up with the "Ode To Oren Ishii," and some disco funk from Isaac Hayes, plus the "Green Hornet Theme," "Woo Hoo" by The 5.6.7.8's and much more. An awesome listen all the way through. 17 tracks in all.
