  • I get mad and I break things! Lone studio album from scuzzed out noise rockers Kilslug. Answer The Call was originally released in 1986 and quickly became an underground classic. The Boston band's mix of punk, noise and metal fell into the world of sludge rock pioneered by bands like Flipper and the Melvins, but stood out for the humor and cynicism in Larry Lifeless' lyrics. It's as if you took your favorite metal or punk record, slowed it down as much as possible and then let your sexual frustrated teenage brother rant over the resulting noise. Perhaps an acquired taste, but skronk infused noisy disillusionment never sounded so good! Eleven tracks in all. Released by Taang! Records.
