  • Another Kon sure shot! For the latest Star Time 12", Kon digs extra deep and pulls out a seldom heard Michael Jackson cover of Bob Marley's "I Shot The Sheriff," flipped and tweaked with his special disco touch for the floor. You can never go wrong with MJ, but MJ + Bob (plus a hint of Nile Rodgers on guitar) is the ultimate no-brainer. Up and coming DJ/producer Scott "That Man Monks" steps in for another mix of "Who Shot Ya," this time going for a deep and hypnotic groove reminiscent of Moodymann's "I Can't Kick This Feeling." Kon is back at it on the flipside with the chilled-out rework of MJ's "Human Nature" that features bumped up drums and a nod to Nas's "It Ain't Hard To Tell." Recommended.
