Lab Overview

The incredible self-titled debut from Lady is here! There's been many great contemporary soul acts lately, but Lady is a cut above. A collaborative project between vocalists Nicole Wray and Terri Walker (who both already have prestigious solo careers) and the Truth & Soul production powerhouse of Leon Michels and Jeff Silverman, Lady delivers soul-drenched goodness on a whole 'nutha level. Drawing inspiration from 60's soul and classic hip-hop, the group creates a sound that takes from the past to create something totally fresh and original in modern R&B. From the sweet soul opener "Tell The Truth," to the catchy beat-driven "Money," and "Hold On," to the soulful pop flair of "Get Ready," "Good Lovin," and "If You Wanna Be My Man," Lady makes it easy to fall back in love with soul music over and over, again and again.
