Hot fire remixes from one of the summer’s biggest hits. Lana Del Rey’s second album “Ultraviolence” has dominated the airwaves all summer long and now we are treated to a handful of quality remixes of her lead single “West Coast”. First out of the gates is Four Tet twisting the song up in his signature laid back dance vibes while looping and layering the vocals to great effect. DJs beware: if you’re playing this out be prepared for the cheeky, sudden silence that comes half way through the song. Stint’s remix takes the song into catchy synth-pop territory but still manages to throw in a random trap breakdown while the Camo & Krooked remix takes a similar synthy angle with more of a toned down, techy feel. The real standout comes from the legend MK, with a bouncing and infectious house beat. He leaves the vocals untouched and lets LDR’s voice shine on top of the jacking rhythms. The record rounds out with Dan Auerbach (who produced on the album) giving us a more personal but simple alternate mix to the song. Ladies on the dance floor want the hits so give it to them in style.
