Soul veteran Lee Fields returns with another full album of heartfelt ballads and funky numbers for your earholes. On "Faithful Man" Lee teams up once again with the always on-point Truth & Soul production team of Leon Michels (El Michels Affair) and Jeff Silverman, who provide the perfect backdrop for Lee's raw emotion. They get the shine on this instrumental version of the album. From the get-go you can tell there ain't no kind of half steppin' going on as "Faithful Man" sounds like it came direct from the era of the Delfonics, the Moments, and James Brown. The rest of the album follows suit with standouts including "I Still Got It," "Moonlight Mile," "Who Do You Love," and the instrumental smoothie "Intermission." 10 tracks of pure unadulterated soul.
