On "Faithful Man" Lee teams up once again with the always on-point Truth & Soul production team of Leon Michels (El Michels Affair) and Jeff Silverman, who provide the perfect backdrop for Lee's raw emotion. From the get-go you can tell there ain't no kind of half steppin' going on as "Faithful Man" sounds like it came direct from the era of the Delfonics, the Moments, and James Brown. A powerful voice like this can only come from experience, and experience is something Lee has in abundance with a career spanning 43 years (and counting)! The rest of the album follows suit with standouts including "I Still Got It," "Moonlight Mile," "Who Do You Love," and the instrumental smoothie "Intermission." 10 tracks of pure unadulterated soul.
