Blackboard Jungle Dub is one of the benchmark dub albums - an all-time great for reggae music, one of Lee Perry's most highly regarded and widely known works, and one of the very first all-dub albums to be released. The background on this is that it's a Lee Perry masterminded affair with a tight and extremely funky version of the Upsetters band laying down the tracks. At the time, Perry did not have a studio of his own, so legend has it that this was mixed down by the Dub Originator himself, King Tubby, with some obvious help from Scratch. The combination of his mixing genius with Lee Perry's wild imagination makes just about every cut on here an amazing slice of perfection. Fully remastered, includes the full length album spread across three 10" pieces of vinyl, housed in full color hinged box secured with a magnetic clasp.
