Louis C.K. is the master of self-deprecation…even on vinyl. His career has launched into sacred territory the past few years thanks to his own blood, sweat and tears. He has become a comedic auteur who, although he has been on the scene for decades, is now hitting his peak as he has taken control over every aspect of his career. His recent special “Oh My God” is no different as he wrote, directed and edited the entire thing himself, just like his much acclaimed show Louis. All of your favorite Louis themes are given a go here, from the disgusting/self-loathing bits to the angry and absurd worldly observations, we get treated to the whole gamut of his twisted and hysterical mind. His stories about aging, his health, his divorce and his family are all twisted into new terrain that he is able to keep just as fresh and hilarious as ever. He is a master of balancing the line of going to far and always manages to keep it grounded enough to not enter into the “shock” comic arena. And in case you were wondering – yes, comedy does sound better on vinyl.
