Fifth studio album from slowcore pioneers Low. We Lost In The Fire was originally released in 2001 and found the band living up to their Kranky label-mates by involving ambient textures and more progressive songwriting. The album was their most accessible and intimate to date, infused with a warmth and emotional urgency that had been absent from previous releases. There's more stylistic experimentation, with jazz tinged harmonies and ethereal chamber folk finding their way into the mix. Notable songs include: "Sunflower," "Dinosaur Act," and album closer "In Metal." Fifteen tracks in all. Released by Kranky on double vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve with an etching on side D and two bonus tracks.
- black double vinyl pressing
- includes (2) bonus tracks
- gatefold sleeve
- custom etching on side D
- music label: Kranky 2022
