  • First ever release from Madlib and MF Doom's Madvillain project! Hard to believe it's been more than a decade since these two teamed up for the fist time. Here's what we said back when this legendary collab first dropped: Stones Throw continues with all-star break weekend. This time Madlib joins forces with the MF Doom, to bring us Madvillain. "Money Folder" gives us the first satisfying taste of their upcoming project. Although Doom only kicks one verse, it's as condensed as always, with enough clever shit to fill your average rappers' entire album. Madlib attempts to make it more viable for the club with the "Money Folder Remix." For me the third track "America's Most Blunted" is really the one to check. Quas comes through to join MF in tag-teaming a beat that sounds like it was lost off Del's first album. While the lyrics are the real focus here, all 3 instrumentals are included for the Madlib collectors.

    • black vinyl pressing
