Lab Overview

Woo! It's all over now. Apocalypse Soon seems to be the culmination of the Major Lazer mission. Uptempo rhythms that reference soca and reggaeton while reaching into reggae's rich history, top shelf dancehall DJs, and, you know, Pharrell. There's not much more left to go from here. All of these songs, from "Aerosol Can" through "Dale Asi" and everything in between, will work equally well at some big festival where you're off your gourd on molly or out on the beach drinking Red Stripe. The standout of all of this is the Sean Paul featuring "Come On to Me." Perhaps it's the familiarity of Paul's voice or Diplo's attention to the details on this one, but it's the one that's going to be soundtracking bbqs and beach parties this summer. Limited edition orange vinyl pressing.
