Worldwide underground sounds! Mamiko Motto has had her ear to the ground in search of new sounds for the past few years. Listeners of her Hepcat show on NTS Radio will be familiar with her eclectic, future forward picks. Motto has put in work with the Dutch record label, Kindred Spirits, as well. She teamed up with Ireland's All City Records for Amada, a compilation of 13 exclusive tracks (plus one bonus in the form of a 7 inch flexi disc) from a mix of interesting underground producers from around the globe. The sounds range from the beat scene ruminations of Obey City's "Take It Back," to the housey leanings found on Bobby's "Tame The Shrew." Stones Throw heads will be happy with selections from Georgia Anne Muldrew and James Pants, while future bass freaks should look no further than Silkersoft's and Darq E Freaker's contributions. Things wind down as the compilation makes its way through the second half. Dorian Concept and Claude Speeed provide especially child out moments. The limited flexi disk includes the compilations lone hip hop effort from GMCFOSHO. Double vinyl pressing, includes limited edition flexi disk.
