This is absolutely nuts. Mark de Clive-Lowe remixes classic records from Blue Note, LIVE AND IN ONE TAKE! Armed with a drum machine, sample pads, rhodes and keyboards, MdCL weaves in and out of hip-hop, jazz, house, and broken beat, with righteous joints from Herbie Hancock, Duke Ellington, and Donald Byrd (some familiar to us they were sampled by our favorites like A Tribe Called Quest and J Dilla) as the launching point. Adding to the madness is cameos from MCs (Bambu, John Robinson, Illa J), and guest musicians like Pino Palladino (bass) and the "infamously elusive" saxophonist Nomad Pendergrass.
