Possibly the most famous video game about netherworld zombies mutating into bad-ass monsters, Altered Beast took the world by storm as the pack-in game for the original Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. The game was first released in arcades in 1988, but the Genesis/Mega Drive version is the one most will remember for many things (those strange cut scenes?), especially the soundtrack. Tohru "Master" Nakabayashi was responsible for composing the music of Altered Beast, perfectly setting the tone with intense battle themes of epic proportions. This limited edition Data Discs pressing comes sourced from a Japanese Mega Drive and pressed on opaque orange colored vinyl. Cut at 45 RPM and specially mastered for vinyl for the best listening experience. Comes housed in 400g matte varnish sleeve featuring hand-painted artwork from the SEGA archives and foldout poster of the original painting used for the game’s box art. Officially licensed SEGA product!
