  • 7th album from Mew, the Danish alternative rock trio consisting of Jonas Bjerre, Johan Wohlert, and Silas Utke. The band's guitarist, Bo Madsen, left in 2015, and this is the first full-length since his departure. While with the group, Madsen has described Mew's sound as "indie stadium," and that description fits Visuals. The LP is full of lofty melodies and big hooks, but the members explore new territories—whether it be electronica, dream pop, or prog rock—which give them a bit of an edge in their sound. Frontman Bjerre's falsetto vocals also deserve a lot of credit for Mew's glossy aesthetic, as demonstrated on tunes like "85 Videos," "Carry Me To Safety," "Twist Quest," and "Nothingness and No Regrets."

    • limited-edition, indie-only 180g pressing with special cover,
    • 3D sleeve artwork with 3D glasses
    • gatefold sleeve
    • music label: Play It Again Sam 2017
