You've just hit the jackpot! Seriously, though. The sole LP from the Mighty Ryeders, Help Us Spread The Message, is some serious diggers gold. You'll probably be most familiar with them from De La Soul's sample of "Evil Vibrations," which was used for "A Rollerskating Jam Named Saturday." But there's plenty more to this collector's holy grail. The Ryeder's formed in the 70s in an effort to become a super group of sorts. They definitely channel some Earth Wind & Fire vibes, but with a rougher edge to their sound on some proper funk 45 type of way. They creatively mix together funk, soul and boogie disco for some feel good grooves, all underpinned by a healthy dose of jazz. Limited edition white vinyl pressing. Recommended.
