Mr. K goes deep! For the ninth(!) installment of Danny Krivit's most excellent edit 45 series, the veteran NY DJ gives us a rare Walter Gibbon's piece, rescued from the records left behind by master mixer when he passed away in 1994. The track was discovered on mysterious acetate simply labeled "1,2,3" and was apparently "custom cut by Gibbons for his personal use in the early '70s when he and a partner operated a service called Melting Pot Sounds that provided one-off copies of otherwise unobtainable imports for NYC disc jocks." The track is pure instrumental disco heat for the dancefloor featuring aggressive clav playing with soulful sax that acts as the cherry on top. Mr. K's version intensifies the already rare and unique groove with choice edits of his own. On the flip,Love Unlimited Orchestra Love Unlimited Orchestra's "Sweet Summer Suite" break (only found on the sought-after 12" mix) gets masterfully extended as a potent DJ tool. Limited edition, pressed loud with DJs in mind.
