To celebrate the 45th(!) year of his extensive DJ career, Most Excellent Unlimited has pressed up a series of exclusive edits on 45. Each one is a master class on how to properly edit a track for the dancefloor, and this one is no exception. Here Mr. K takes on Wood, Brass & Steel's "Funkanova," a jazzfunk masterpiece that was a classic at the Loft, and also sampled by numerous house acts through the years (Black Science Orchestra, Terrence Parker, the Bucketheads). This special 45 edit trims it down to just the most ecstatic moments to guarantee smiles all across the dancefloor. On the flip, Krivit lends his ear to Boobie Knight & The Univeral Lady's "Sex," a b-boy wet dream with tough breaks galore to get wild on the floor. Doubles recommended!
