  • Ned Doheny's Japan only masterpiece finally reissued. The singer songwriter behind timeless AOR / Pop Soul tunes "Get It Up For Love" and "What Cha Gonna Do For Me" saw little success in the states but caused quite a scene in Japan. Having worked with The Eagles, Dave Mason, Jackson Browne + others he was signed to David Geffen's Asylum but soon left as his own success was being shadowed by his peers. His California roots proved strong and he took to the AOR scene that was growing at the time with his style proving exactly his songwriting prowess. Out of this came Hard Candy and Prone, his masterpiece according to Doheny aficionados. Being out of print on vinyl for nearly 35 years, with the occasional questionable bootlegs popping up, this classic is finally back in print thanks to UK's Be With Records. Doheny not realizing the impact he made in Japan until a 1978 tour, he finally found the recognition he deserved. Be With has issued this with its original Japanese artwork (no obi though) and insert.
