Lab Overview

This is the NehruvianDOOM REDUX - slightly rearranged tracklist with shorter track times - pressed on double-sided picture disc with original DOOM & Bishop Nehru artwork by GhostShrimp. Limit 1 per customer. Here's our original review of the NehruvianDOOM album:

Another sure shot collabo from the super MF villain MF Doom and 18 year old New Yorker Bishop Nehru. Feels like it's been a minute since we've heard beats as feel good as these from DOOM (Rhymes Like Dimes???). On first listen the album feels spontaneous and the energy between the duo work extremely well with a mixtape mentality more than "end all be all opus"... and that is effing great. Let's be honest here, we listen to anything DOOM puts out and will continue to do so until he calls it quits or completely replaces himself by his stage double. BUT in that honesty there hasn't been a DOOM release in the last few years that has been as exciting as Madvillain and Viktor Vaughn. Yes, JJ Doom was decent, but it felt a little too obvious. Continuing my truth rant, this is the first time I've ever heard of Bishop Nehru... EVER. I find myself wondering how the hell this even came to be, but digging deeper into the album I felt that energy I mentioned earlier and can imagine dude getting hyped on Nehru's raw attitude. His youthful delivery first shined on Odd Future's forums a few years back and was given some more shine on World Star Hip Hop with a 8 bar heatrock spit over Mos Def's Mathematics. With two mixtapes, an ep, and an upcoming solo full length it prolly isn't safe to say he is a veteran, but clearly on his way. Hands down this shit is fun and it is so good to hear DOOM back on top of his game. Recommended.
