Meditative conclusion to the Bad Seeds' latest trilogy of albums including 2013's Push The Sky Away and 2016's Skeleton Tree. Ghosteen continues in the stripped down direction suggested by its two predecessors but ventures even further into the forest of ambient soundscapes and ghostly atmospheres, with almost no drums or guitars to speak of whatsoever. It's the seventeenth album from Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, but Cave considers it a two-part album: "The songs on the first album are the children. The songs on the second album are their parents. Ghosteen is migrating spirit." It's true, the first LP consists of 8 songs, while the second LP consists of two long-form pieces bridged by a spoken word passage.
