The Simone penned "Mississippi Goddam" is most notable here for its forthright representation of the Civil Rights movement. "Old Jim Crow," "Pirate Jenny," and "Go Limp" contribute to the message, as well. In Concert captures powerful performances from one of the most outspoken musicians of her time. Seven tracks in all.
