With Teeth was the fourth studio album released by Nine Inch Nails, and was co-produced by Trent Reznor with Alan Moulder (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jesus & Mary Chain, Smashing Pumpkins). It features live drums throughout the album by Dave Grohl, and also features contributions from future soundtrack collaborator Atticus Ross. The lyrical content of the album is ultimately introspective but sports an aggressive edge, a suitable way to present Reznor’s personal struggles with substance abuse. He sums it up succinctly - “It was all kind of a big analogy for me getting sober.” The album features more analog instrumentation than previous efforts, featuring heavy use of modular synths and tape delay, giving the tracks a gritty, lo-fi feel. Includes tracks “The Hand That Feeds”, “All The Love In The World”, “Every Day Is Exactly The Same”, and “Only”. This definitive edition was freshly remastered from the original tapes (“with lots of details attended to that you may never notice but we care about”), and arrives in a deluxe gatefold package designed by NIN art director John Crawford. Also includes two-sized 4 panel insert that includes all album lyrics, and a booklet with extensive liner notes by David Fricke (Rolling Stone).
