10th anniversary repress of Jason Chung's modern classic debut album! This one has been a staple since it was released a decade ago (holy shit), and in recent years has become increasingly hard to find on wax. Here's our original review from when we first carried the record: Former Turntable Lab LA employee Nosaj Thing is super soft-spoken, but if you ever see him at his live shows madly pounding away on the controller, you'd think otherwise. This dichotomy comes through on this nuanced beats album, full of texture, unusual harmonies, and constant shifts. You'll continually discover new favorite parts. At this exact moment, "Light #1" is quickly becoming "my shit." What's extra impressive is that after several years in his home studio surrounded by the burgeoning LA beats scene, Nosaj has come up with something free from over-influence... it's markedly his own. But this is a review, and I need to draw you in with some comparisons, so I'll say something like Prefuse - Ratatat - Flylo... that sounds good. Haha. Pressed on blue colored vinyl, limited edition, highly recommended.
