Expansive album from the prolific producer and mc. The past seven years have proven to be an extremely fertile period for Oddisee. The Brooklyn based producer and mc, originally from Washington, DC, has released ten albums that deliver quality hip hop, both sonically and lyrically. The Good Fight sees Oddisee further expanding his sound, incorporating elements of retro soul and funk while maintaining his wordy flow. He takes shots at the music industry while expressing his support of people close to him. The 808 heavy "Want Something Done," the kinetic and lyrically dense "Counter-Clockwise" and the gospel chorus of "Book Covers" are all great places to get started. Despite the quantity of material that Oddisee has released, he's not spreading himself too thin, his music remains infectious and inspired.
