Omar Souleyman dishes out nothing but love! It has been two years since his last album, Wenu Wenu, and quite possibly the best Syrian export is back at it again. Once again teaming up with Four Tet on production duties the mysterious singer delves deeper into western production with a slew of guests also helping on tracks. Gilles Peterson, Modeselektor, and Legowelt offer their brand of electronic mayhem for the famed crooner. Not to be completely removed from why we fell in love with his music to begin with, Souleyman was also accompanied by more traditional instrumentation and he has also reunited with poet Ahmad Alsamer for lyrical contributions. Recommended.
