While they were not the founders, Os Mutantes are mostly seen as the ambassadors for the Tropicalia / Psychedelic movement of the late 60s into the 70s that caused a stir with the Brazilian government and brought new levels of thinking to the people. The fine folks at Luaka Bop turned on a whole new generation to the wild sounds back in 1999 and compiled this release showcasing the early work of the group with essential cuts. 'A minha Menina' 'Bat Macumba' 'Cantor De Mambo'& so many more.
