ANOTHER SLAB OF PUMMELING, UNRELENTING ACID. The influence of 80’s Chicago house is ubiquitous in Paranoid London’s output to date, and hard-hitting jack trax is still the name of the game on this 12-inch. The A side wastes no time rolling out the Roland funk with a bruising 808 and sinister acid bassline squirming through all seven minutes. We can’t help but be reminded of golden era Dance Mania the way the looping vocal refrain (“just give me the…”) is relentlessly beaten into the ground. If that isn’t enough for you, the P.L. boys slice up the acid and double down on the beats on pulverizing flip side track “Our Man Though”. Grip now or cry later.
