Some of Parris Mitchell's rawest material back in print! The Chicago base producer had already had a few releases out before Dance Mania's Ray Barney came to him with the idea for ghetto house. After planting the seed, Mitchel came back with tracks like "Whose Pussy Is This" and "Masturbation," and the genre was born. Unlike the stories of love that populated much of Chicago's house at the time, the ghetto house sound was more raw and unrestrained. Chopped up vocals and jacking 808s provided an intensity that few other sounds could match. Mitchell would go on to release a bevy of material on Dance Mania, but the Traxx EP (aka Explicit Lyrics) is the one that started it all.
