Despite being originally recorded in 1969, Izipho Zam (My Gifts) did not get released until 1973 by Strata East. The album finds Pharoah Sanders as band leader for the second time, leading no less than 13 musicians on a audible journey to the East, as well as the far reaches of free jazz. Includes three tracks "Prince Of Peace," "Balance," and "Izipho Zam," that find Sanders' as potent as ever.
