Rarities, classics, and live versions from the best drummer-slash-singer of all-time. I used to always think of Phil Collins as "dad music" (mainly because my dad listened to his tapes on repeat on long car rides), but as I got older, I came to really appreciate his stuff. Apparently the guys over at Slow To Speak feel the same way as they've put together this great 12" comp of classics, live versions and sleepers. The epic ambient piece "Droned" kicks things off with slow building intensity that climaxes with pianos, percussion, and chant. Up next is a rare live acoustic version of Phil's most famous track - "In The Air Tonite." This track still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up everytime I hear it, and it's great to have an alternate version on wax. Also included is a live version of "The Roof Is Leaking," plus album classics "Man On The Corner," "Another Day In Paradise," and "I Don't Care Anymore." Seriously good record for any collection (not just dads). Limited pressing with hand screened cover art on random white or black jacket. Recommended.
