Third studio album from Woodstock, NY's Photay. Onism weaves crafty electronics with live instrumentation and off kilter rhythms. The album's more house tinged moments recall Four Tet and early Floating Points, as Photay works strings and synths over nimbly programmed drums. Slower moments allow for more space between the beats where the playful nature of the songs' arrangements come to the fore. Digital environments meld with natural worlds as Photay finds solace amongst the trees. Ten tracks in all. Released by Astro Nautico on clear vinyl with a printed insert and digital download.
