  • Psychemagik has been on a tear lately with the edit releases, and this 12" is more proof to their mastery. Both sides are pontent, but "For Your Love" is the peak time jam. I've been carrying around a bootleg edit of Chilly's "For Your Love" for years now, it pretty much never leaves the bag, but it might have to get replaced by Psychemagik's version! Here they take the 1978 disco/italo/rock/soul track and splice together the best parts for maximum dance floor impact. This version keeps in more of the vocals than the old bootleg I have (which is a good thing), and lets the arpeggio laced rhythm ride for a long time. On the flip, you get an edit of "Aldeia De Ogum," a rare album cut from Brazilian singer/songwriter Joyce's 1980 album Feminina. Recommended.
