Pulp's 1994 major label breakthrough. It's hard to fathom that Jarvis Cocker and his rotating cast of band mates had been slogging away for nearly 16 years before finding widespread recognition. Pulp had shuffled between labels throughout the 1980s before finally being picked up by Island Records in the early 1990s. They went through many stylistic changes before coming to the art rock informed sound that would eventually be released on His 'N' Hers. "Babies," "Lipgloss," and "Do You Remember The First Time?" would be the singles that would see them rise up the charts and reluctantly lead the Britpop charge of the 90s. Their tales of teen angst, illicit affairs, and failings with the opposite sex, set to their singular, overarching sound would endear them to a wide army of fans. This deluxe edition includes recordings from various BBC sessions along with b-sides and demos.
