  • Sam Ray aka Ricky Eat Acid's third full-length album, originally released on Brooklyn independent label Orchid Tapes. Three Love Songs consists of more than three songs, and the record takes listeners on a journey, one that's equal parts sad and beautiful, always full of #feels. It's an abstract, lo-fi collection of noises, drones, and samples (a lot of the reversed, it sounds like), and the project progresses to incorporate sparse drums; check out "It Will Draw Me Over to It Like It Always Does," which also features an ethereal vocal layer. Pianos and other keys create the murky, melancholic melodies embedded throughout, and Ray's carefully crafted brand of ambient/electronica is best summarized by tracks like "Inside My House; Some Place I keep Dreaming About," and "God Puts Us All in the Swimming Pool."

    • 180g pressing
    • music label: Run For Cover Records 2014 / 2018
