There's something about horror movies and their soundtracks. Especially when they reference the golden era of Goblin and Dario Argento. The soundtrack for Franck Khalfoun's remake of the 1980 slasher Maniac continues the tradition of visually gripping horror soundtracked with Italo inspired instrumentals. French composer Rob (Robin Coudert) provides the eerie, scene setting sounds for Elijah Woods' tormented serial killer to do his thing. The soundtrack is mournful and moody, dark and brooding. It almost feels like Rob has picked up where the Drive soundtrack left off. Limited edition 180 gram black vinyl pressing. Random copies may contain white vinyl.
