Special vinyl pressing of Ryuichi Sakamoto's original soundtrack to Christian Sardet and Shiro Takatani's collaboration art installation. The trio worked together to create a unique experience that debuted at the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art in 2016, featuring biologist Sardet's incredible images of microscopic plankton paired with Takatani's video work, and of course, Sakamoto's original music. Here the pioneering YMO member explores deep and immersive ambient soundscapes that perfectly set the tone for the fascinating micro world of plankton. Two sides of long form, minimalist ambience from the master (sound samples don't really do justice). This beautiful 180 gram pressing comes as a limited edition of 500, each individually numbered on the back sleeve. Recommended.
