As the years have gone on Sade's output has slowed to creeping death levels yet her creativity still amazes when the group manages to reform and do their thing in the studio. The album before this, Lovers Rock, took 8 years to create. Soldier Of Love took 10 years. Surely they weren't in the studio for all of those years, the fans were eagerly awaiting SOMETHING. Per usual, Miss Sade Adu and crew does not disappoint. Possibly her most ambitious work to date, the magic is still there. Not wanting to produce her art for the sake of selling it, each song is crafted from years of experience. The handmade artisanal loaf compared to wonder bread if you will. Never missing a beat, this is a fine album and a must for any fan of the seductive crooner.
