  • the end is of the world is nigh high. Shlohmo has been quiet as a solo artist since 2015’s bleak and introspective Dark Red, but in the meantime, his name has popped up in the credits of releases by Yung Lean, Chance the Rapper, and Banks.  He returns to Friends of Friends for his latest disc, self-described as being “…about the end of the world, but from the viewpoint of smoking on the couch during the extinction event.” The End sees the LA-based beatmaker experimenting with vintage toy drum machines and samples from years-old tapes and recording sessions, with the results combining his keen ear for hip-hop beats with arena-industrial amplitude. Outstanding tracks include the guitar squall of "Headache of The Year" and the jittery bleep-bloops of "Panic Attack". Features 9 tracks on heavyweight black vinyl.

    • 180g double black vinyl pressing
    • gatefold sleeve
    • music label: Friends of Friends 2019
