Hard to find Italian coldwave. Simona Buja was the singer for Kirlian Camera, an Italo group that was also responsible for sought after records from Hipnosis and Eastwall. The sound of "Passing Masks" is similar to the music of Kirlian Camera, but takes a somewhat darker turn. Simona Buja's vocals lend a touch sweetness to the dark and grinding drum machine beat. It's an altogether more chilling affair on "Still Close." There's a sense of despair in the droning synths and spartan percussion. Limited edition pressing, full color sleeve.
