Stylistically the album is nearly night and day compared to his previous. While the inherent polyrhythmic afro beat backbone still resides, it is the complex song structure, writing, and genre jumps that take the front seat. Having recently completed a major milestone in his career, music directing for the incomparable William Onyeabor, the maturity and progression shows in his own work.
