Originally released in 1995, The Rapture is the 11th and final studio album from Siouxsie And The Banshees. A lot of the tracks were produced by The Velvet Underground's John Cale, who was brought in after the band had crafted the title track as well as "Fall from Grace" and "Not Forgotten." As with previous efforts, the darker side of the band's DNA freely mixes with pop sensibilities, as the record's use of lush instrumentation—mandolins, cellos, bells, etc.— and Siouxsie's chilly vocals nicely cap the group's storied, eclectic run. Standouts include "O Baby," "Stargazer," "Sick Child," "Forever," and "The Rapture."
