Habit was the self-released debut from Snail Mail, the indie rock project of guitarist and singer-songwriter Lindsey Jordan. Produced by Jason Sauvage and G.L. Jaguar of DC surf punks Priests, this EP was originally released on cassette by Sister Polygon Records back in 2016. Habit is an early example of Jordan’s raw, yet charming aesthetic and an important step on the way to her acclaimed 2018 LP Lush. Snail Mail is inspired by the likes of Sonic Youth, Cat Power, The Cranberries, and The Velvet Underground, and these influences and more are clear across tracks such as “Thinning” “Static Buzz”, and Slug”. Includes the six original EP tracks and a cover of “The 2nd Most Beautiful Girl In The World” by K Records group Courtney Love, available on vinyl for the first time. Available for the first time in a full color sleeve as originally designed, this LP is pressed on black vinyl.
