Repressed! Sophie's second single for Numbers caused quite a commotion when it dropped in 2014. Sounding something like future bass meets J-Pop at a neon-lit Tumblr domain, it's safe to say Sophie has come up with a completely unique (and somewhat crazy) sound. If you can get with (or get past) the cheeky high pitched vocals, the production is definitely boundary bending and genre blending. Check the sonic juxtaposition on "Lemonade," then go for "Hard" for Sophie's more advanced angular approach. Comes in screenprinted inner sleeve with plastic outer. Recommended.
