Lab Overview

Classic deep Chicago house and minimal tech from some of the best. Spencer Kincy aka Gemini moved down to Dallas, TX in the late 90s to spend time with JT Donaldson and get away from the Windy City. The two revered producers seem to have spent some time making a bit of music as this 1998 Cyclo release can attest to. They each contribute two tracks on this varied 12". Kincy gives us the minimal house of "Soho" and the more bumping Chicago stylings of "Wanna' Push You." Donaldson's best might be "Changing Times" with its emotive electric piano work, but the swirling Rhodes of "First Things First" is quiet good as well.
