Half Speed Remaster of hard to find soul-jazz jewel out of Switzerland. Stuff Combe was an in demand (and prolific) Swiss jazz drummer, playing all over Europe and across the US with artists such as Bill Coleman, Stan Getz, Kenny Clarke, Art Taylor, and Lucky Thompson, to name just a few. Recorded in Geneva in '73 and released a year later, this hard-hitting album oozes with funky bossa-inspired sounds, from the tripped-out starter track 'Space Trip' to a slice of aural-drum heaven on 'Eastern Blue.' Released by We Release Jazz (who also remastered / reissued the jazz grail Scenery by Ryo Fukui), pressed on 180g vinyl and housed in Stoughton tip-on sleeve, complete with OBI strip and liner notes. This Limited Edition pressing is NOT to be missed. Recommended.
